Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours

I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.

After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.

He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

Valley of the Kings&Hashepsuit Temple

Egypt Key tour guide will pick you up from your Hotel, then you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle to visit west bank of Luxor, to start by visiting the Valley of the Kings. Then, you will move to Hatshepsut Temple (meaning foremost of noble ladies), her temple is considered one of the most important temples of ancient times.

Memnon Colossi

Then, you will stop to see the Colossi of Memnon, which is stood in the Theban necropolis, across the Nile River as a guardian of the entrance to Amenhotep’s memorial temple. The statues are made of blocks of quartzite stone.

Lunch

Our tour guide will escort you to a restaurant where you can relax and have lunch.

Krnak and Luxor Temples

Then proceed to visit the east bank of Luxor, you will visit the Temples of Karnak, the complex was dedicated to the god Amon-Ra and was the center of his worship and his wife Mut and his son Khons.

What is special about Karnak complex is that it includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture and among them are the hypostyle hall one of the world’s great architectural achievements of all times.

Your tour will end by visiting the Temple of Luxor which is believed that one of the ancient Egyptian’s festivals was held inside the temple as there are different scenes on the walls representing the celebration of the festival. Its inner part was built by King Amenhotep III while the outer part was built by King Ramses II. After entering the temple you will find a mosque called (Abu Al-Haggag) was built on the ruins of a church which were built inside the temple. To the rear of the temple there are chapels built by King Thutmosis III and Alexander the Great.
