A Nile cruise is the one part of an Egypt trip nothing else replaces. Temples that only make sense from the water, sunsets over Luxor from a deck chair, the whole ancient river doing what it’s done for five thousand years while you eat breakfast on deck. We work with a hand-picked set of cruise boats between Luxor and Aswan, from classic Nile cruisers to smaller dahabiya sailboats, and build the shore excursions around whichever one you choose.

Your Shore Excursions Are Private
The boat is your hotel, and that’s all it is. Every excursion ashore is operated by Egypt Key Tours, not by the cruise line, so you never join the ship’s group tours at the temples. You have your own Egyptologist guide, your own driver, and your own air-conditioned vehicle at every stop. Your guide sails with you and stays on board in a separate cabin for the length of the cruise, so anything you want to ask or change, you can, at any hour of the trip.

Which Boats We Sail
We are selective about the boats we put people on. A cruise boat has to have a real reputation and facilities we would be happy with ourselves before it goes on our list, because your safety and comfort decide that list ahead of anything else.
In practice that means vessels from operators like Mövenpick, Sonesta and Jaz, among others. Which one we recommend depends on your dates, your budget and the kind of trip you’re after, so we match the boat to the traveller rather than selling whatever happens to have space.
What's Included
- Three meals a day on board: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Coffee, tea, cookies and cake, free throughout the sailing days. Other drinks like soft drinks and alcohol are charged on board.
- Private shore excursions at every stop, run by Egypt Key Tours with your own guide, driver and vehicle.
- Your own guide on board for the whole cruise, in a separate cabin.
- We arrange and run all your transfers between airport, hotel and boat, from start to finish.

Choosing Your Cruise
Aswan and Luxor are the two major cities of the country Egypt consisting of a plethora of splendors. At Egypt Key Tours, we offer Nile Cruises from Luxor – Aswan, and Aswan – Luxor to help visitors explore the best of both cities. Get started today with us to discover the ancient wonders of Egypt on a Nile Cruise.

A Standard Nile Cruiser
Energetic, social and well organised. You travel to a set schedule built to get you to every headline temple without fuss, which is exactly what most first-time visitors want. These boats come in three grades, standard, deluxe and luxury, so the experience scales with your budget while the itinerary stays broadly the same.
Choose it if: it’s your first time in Egypt and you want to see everything, comfortably, without planning it yourself. → Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruises

A Dahabiya
A traditional two-masted wooden sailing boat with only four to ten cabins. It’s closer to chartering a private yacht, with its own crew and its own chef. The pace is unhurried and the mood is quiet. Because a dahabiya is small and easy to manoeuvre, it ties up at peaceful river islands and village shores the big cruise ships simply cannot reach.
Choose it if: you’d rather avoid crowds, eat freshly cooked local food under the stars, and let the river itself be the point of the trip. → Dahabiya Cruises

A Lake Nasser Cruise
A different landscape altogether. This is for travellers who want to see the Ramses II temples at Abu Simbel from the deck of their own ship, and who prefer wide, quiet desert views to busy riverbanks.
Choose it if: Abu Simbel is the thing you came to Egypt for, or you want the calmest version of a cruise. → Lake Nasser Cruises
