Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours
I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.
After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.
He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

Egypt Key Tours professional Tour guide will pick you up from hotel either in Cairo or Giza to visit The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby.It was built in 12th century to fortify Cairo against the Crusaders and was used as the seat of the king and his government in Egypt for many centuries and many dynasties. After that visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque,It’s one the landmarks in Cairo with its huge space , the beautiful decorations on its walls , and its remarkable domes and minarets.The mosque was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq a Ottoman architecture man who came specially from Istanbuland built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years.
Also you will visit The mosque of Sultan al‑Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun, in the Citadel of Salah al‑Din al‑Ayyubi (Saladin) in Cairo, was the royal mosque during the Mamluk Period (792–922 AH/1250–1517 AD). It is located in the Citadel’s southern section.
The mosque is among the most prominent monuments within the Citadel due to its unique style that merges many architectural traditions. The tops of its two minarets and dome were once covered in green tiles, and are influenced by an eastern Islamic style. The inside of the dome is decorated with a bar of Quranic verses, the titles of Sultan al‑Nasir Muhammad, and the date of the building of the second mosque. The ceiling of the mosque is decorated with beautiful geometric shapes. The ornate minbar (pulpit) is made of wood, inlaid with ivory and mother‑of‑pearl, and inscribed with the name of King Farouk.

Coptic Cairo
Moving to visit The “Coptic Cairo” where you will visit the “Hanging Church” which is dating back to the 3rd Century AD and was dedicated to Virgin Mary ,It’s called “Hanging” because of its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress “Babylon” .It contains 110 Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes.
Then visiting “Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church” which is believed to have been built on the spot (The Crypt) where the holy family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt.
And ending Coptic Cairo tour with a visit to the “Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra” which gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts
