Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours
I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.
After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.
He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

Coptic Cairo
Moving to visit the “Hanging Church” which is dating back to the 3rd Century AD and was dedicated to Virgin Mary ,It’s called “Hanging” because of its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress “Babylon” .It contains 110 Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes.
Then visiting “Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church” which is believed to have been built on the spot (The Crypt) where the holy family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt.
And ending Coptic Cairo tour with a visit to the “Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra” which gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts
Bazaar
As a last stop, you go to Khan Al Khalili Bazaar, which is one of Cairo’s main attractions. The site of Khan Al Khalili was originally a mausoleum called “Turbat El Zaafran” (saffron tomb), which was the burial of Fatimid Caliphs. The mausoleum was part of the Fatimid great eastern palace complex, begun in 970 AD,after that it became a district for the Turkish community during the Ottoman period. However, now it has become a bazaar, where you will find many souvenir shops, coffeehouses “Café” serving Arabic coffee and offering Hookah “Shisha” and restaurants throughout the area.Khan Al-Khalili was located in the middle of Cairo’s most important zone of economic activity. A traditional and wonderful bazaar that truly shows the true Egypt.
