Note: Sleeper trains are designed and equipped according to a satisfactory standard and quality that was set up by the Egyptian Railway Authority. Sleeper train takes about 14 hours from Cairo to Aswan. However, we recommend using domestic flights with supplement US$ 85 per person instead of spending time in sleeper trains.

Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours
I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.
After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.
He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Upon your arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will find Egypt Key Tours representative waiting for you holding a sign of your name or (company name). Then you will be escorted to your hotel in Cairo for the overnight.

Day 2: Pyramids-Saqqara-Memphis
Breakfast then you will be escorted by Egypt Key tour guide to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops(the only one of seven ancient wonders still remaining on earth), Chephren, Mekerinus and the famous Sphinx, the Valley Temple facing the great statue.
Visit the ancient step pyramid of Djoser in Sakkara archeological site, as you learn about the evolution of pyramid design. The step pyramid is the world’s oldest major stone structure built around 2630BC and the only one of its kind.
Moving on towards Memphis, Egypt’s former capital and once the cultural center of the ancient world, and was a cult center for god Ptah god of creation and artworks.
Overnight in Cairo. After the day trip in Cairo, back to hotel

Day 3:Cairo Sightseeing / Train to Aswan
Check out after breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: Egyptian Museum. Lunch throughout the tour at local restaurant. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Later, you will be transferred to Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board – overnight inside your compartment.

Day 4:Arrival Aswan
You will be met at Aswan station, then transferred to your hotel, Optional (not included) to enjoy a tour to one of Egypt’s top tourist attractions, Abu Simbel temple, which were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II approximately in the 13th century BC, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari. Overnight in Aswan.
NB: Incase you would like to do Abu Simbel Tour, so you will do it on day 05 and Aswan sightseeing tours will be on day 4.

Day 5:Aswan Sightseeing
Breakfast at your hotel in Aswan. Then transfer to embark your Nile River Cruise before Lunch, then enjoy visiting the world famous High Dam, The awesome Philae temple, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

Day 6:Kom Ombo / Edfu Temple
Sail to Kom Ombo, have breakfast on board and Visit the Temple shared by two gods Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu, lunch on board after that Visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Horus Temple in Edfu. Take afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7:Luxor West Bank
Sail to Luxor, have breakfast on board then Visit the West Bank, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, then to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Enjoy afternoon tea during sailing. Dinner on board Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8:Luxor East Bank / Hurghada
Breakfast on board, Disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast . Then transfer to visit Karnak and Luxor temples. In the afternoon transfer to Hurghada on the Red Sea. From Luxor to Hurghada is about a 03 hour and half drive.
