Breakfast will be served on board of your ship. Later on, you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to discover the remains of ancient temples in the Nubian Desert. After a while you’ll set sail and head towards Wadi El Sebou – a coastal wadi with a wealth of archaeological sites that highlight the transition from many ages and civilisations. Here, at the Tropic of Cancer, Lake Nasser was suddenly swelled when water was diverted for the High Dam on the Nile River by President Nasser of Egypt, 40 years ago in order to create one of the biggest man-made lakes. As such this area offers amazing insight into mankind’s relationship with nature over thousands of years. You may wish to begin your day early and catch sunrise over the Temple of Kalabsha before starting your exploration!

Day 03: Visit of Wadi El Sebou & Dakka
After having your breakfast, you will head over to the Wadi El Sebou which means “Valley of Lions” in Arabic. You’ll find that it’s one of many beautiful valleys in this part of Egypt. Located near the Red Sea mountains, it contains an incredible amsha (robust sphinx) that was discovered and re-erected after Abu Simbel was relocated. The valley is also home to a temple once dedicated to Amun-Ra , the face of this temple has yet to be uncovered! After getting a chance to explore some of the valley’s natural beauty and site its recommended pools, you’re heading back on board for lunch after which you’ll ride over to Amada for an afternoon tour of its Temple. As far as we know, this is the oldest temple in all of Nubia; and we would hate for you not to get a chance to see it with your own eyes – just imagine what ancient Egyptians in general built at a time when their civilization was still young; before Ramses II took over most of their country!

Sail on to Abu Simbel and visit Abu Simbel Temple. Built on the west bank of the Nile River at an elevation of 1570 meters (5177 feet), this temple is one of Egypt’s most recognizable ancient sites. It contains two enormous temples, carved into the mountainside, that were built by Pharaoh Ramesses II during his reign in 1274–1245 BC. Today Abu Simbel is located in southern Egypt, about 85 km southeast of Aswan in Nubia (region along Nile) at latitude 24 ° 2′ north and longitude 32 ° 50′ east .
