5 Days - Aswan / Abu Simbel Every Monday

Day 01: Arrival at Aswan – Aswan Visit Embark on the Cruise

When you arrive to Aswan, Egypt Key Tours representative will welcome you and take you as you board your Lake Nasser Nile Cruise for embarkation and checkin. Lunch will be served on the cruise. Next, you will join your guide to navigate the city of Aswan, of which is the largest component, The High-Dry Dam, which was built in 1960 by Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser to protect Egyptians from the flooding of the River Nile. You will then journey aboard a motor boat on the Nile River and reach the Nile Island of Agilika, where you will discover the Temple of Philae. While on the Nile, you’ll be informed by your tour guide of a visit to The Unfinished Obelisk, which was constructed from red granite to celebrate Amun Ra. Before you leave your day trip, you’ll enjoy a special meal on the ship and stay overnight.

Day2 : Kalabsha Temple – Sail to Wadi El Sebou

On the next day, the tour guide will lead your group to the Kalabsha Temple. Often your first stop at Lake Nasser, the temple is located near the High Dam and a perfect place to serve as your first stop on any cruise. It was transferred here 30 miles south of its original location after construction of the dam.

The result is a mix of imagery that includes Egyptian and Roman themes with images of Roman emperors and pharaohs worshiping the Egyptian gods in the temple dedicated to Mandulis of Nubia. After the excursion, you’ll be back to the Cruise for refreshment and will be having Lunch on board, after which the Cruise will sail to Wadi El Sebou passing by the Tropic of Cancer.

Day 3: Visit of Wadi El Sebou & Dakka

You will have your breakfast on the table of the cruise ship, then you will tour Wadi El Sebou in Arabic, “Valley of the lions”, the name alluding to a rocky lane that heads up to this temple. It was moved to its current location in the pre-modern era, less so than nearby temples.

You’ll be brought ashore to the ship to have your lunch. Afterward, the boat will sail to Amada, where the Temple of Amada is the oldest of the Nile delta’s historical monuments. Dating from the beginning of the New Kingdom, the temple predates Ramesses II and Abu Simbel by two centuries; nonetheless, as is typical of the great king of Egypt, Ramesses’s mark and that of his son Merenptah are inscribed on the temple’s walls.

Day 4: Visit of Kasr Ibrim & Abu Simbel

Abu Simbel today is not where it used to be. “After the selection of building a new dam at Aswan in the 1960s, the temples were destroyed and relocated in 1968 on a desert plateau 64 meters (about 200 feet) above and 180 miles away.

Day 5: Disembarkation From Cruise

4 Days - Abu Simbel / Aswan Every Friday

Day 1 Embarkation – Visit Abu Simbel

Our representative will arrive at your accommodation in Abu Simbel or from Abu Simbel airport, then transfer you towards the Lake Nasser Cruise for embarkation and check-in. Check-in for the Cruise at 13:00 p.m. Then you’ll have your lunch on the Cruise. Located on the west bank of the Nile River between the historic first and second cataracts, Abu Simbel’s location is notable for being one of the best-known archaeological sites in Egypt. The two temples carved into the mountainside here are thought to have been built by the pharaoh Ramesses II (1303-1213 B.C.).

Day 2 Sail to Kasr Ibrim- Visit Amada – Sail to Wadi El Seboua & Overnight

Day 3: Visit Wadi El Seboua Temple – Sail to Aswan
